Dasa's 90-Minute Scramble

Hello, everyone!  This is my first attempt at posting on my own.  So, I hope it goes through.  Sweet Brenda helped me with my first post last Sunday, while I visited her for a wonderful crafty weekend with her, Lisa, Trinh, and Vera.

I made this card for Dasa's 90-Minute Scramble today, at the Hero Arts Flickr Group.  I have not been feeling well, and have not had much energy to create.  So, this was the perfect opportunity to attempt to create something.  I love using Kraft-colored cardstock, kettle copper embossing powder, and hearts.
Tina created a beautiful card for my Mom with a burlap heart, so her card was my inspiration for this card.
(I wish I knew how to link to her card and blog.  I'll try to figure it out sometime soon.  HELP, Brenda!)

 Supplies:
Hero Arts:  (H2365)-Old French Writing, Die-Heart Frame Cut
Cardstock:  PTI - Kraft, Rustic Cream
Ink:  Walnut Stain-Distress Ink, VersaMark
Other:  Burlap, Kettle Copper Embossing Powder, Ribbon, Prima-Flower Center, PTI-Edgers #1 Die

Thanks for visiting my blog today, and for your sweet comments!
Have a wonderful weekend!

My First Post!

Hello, everyone!  My very good friends Brenda and Lisa encouraged me to start a blog, to share my creations.  So with Brenda & Lisa's help, I have finally taken the leap.  I could never have done this without their help.  Here I am, ready or not!

I spent a fabulous crafty, all girls weekend at sweet Brenda's house along with Lisa, Trinh and Vera.  We had a wonderful time creating, chatting, eating, shopping and laughing, and MORE creating, chatting, and laughing!  One thing I learned about Trinh and Vera, is that they are extremely productive, and that Brenda and Lisa have a terrific sense of humor!

Brenda created the center panel using a wine label from Jacqueline, and I went from there and created the stamped notecard using a Hero Arts "Old Letter Writing" (S4878) background stamp.

I went on to make a second card using a Tim Holtz embossing folder which Trinh allowed me to borrow while she was here.

Paper: card stock (PTI); designer paper (Teresa Collins - Everyday Moments)
Ink: Walnut Stain Distress ink
Other: Dies (MFT: Zig Zag die; Button die); Twine; Tim Holtz embossing folder

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog!  :-)
