Patchwork Tag-Card

Hello!
When I saw Melissa Phillips' video - PTI-Make It Monday #96-Patchwork Die-Cuts,
I knew I wanted to experiment with the Patchwork technique.
Since I really enjoy making Tag-Cards, I played around with the design on the PTI-Tag Sale #5 die.
I love the My Mind's Eye-Lost & Found Christmas patterned paper.
This is my second attempt at stitching on paper.
(I'm still needing more practice.)
This Tag-Card is for my Dear Husband.

Who loves Buttons?

Hope you are having a fantastic day!
The current temperature in my part of the USA is 47.  Yeah!  I'm loving it!

As I was looking through some items that I recently received from a Flickr friend,
I couldn't stop looking at ALL the fabulous buttons (in one of my favorite colors) she sent.
Then I looked through ALL the patterned paper I've bought/collected,
(I really need to put it to good use.)
and found this lovely "Simple Stories-Documented" 6 x 6 paper
that I thought would work beautifully with the lovely buttons.
I strung the buttons on twine, and added a glue dot behind each button.
After playing around with the design, this card came together rather quickly.
WOW...I love those buttons!  Thanks, Rosemary!

Supplies
Stamp:  Hero Arts-Good Friends
Paper:  Kraft, Simple Stories-Documented
Ink:  Coffee-Archival, Brushed Corduroy
Other:  Twine, Clear Embossing Powder

Thanks for your visit & your sweet comments.
Have a fantastic day!

Love You Tons

When I discovered the Cloud9 blog, I was super-excited!
It would give me an opportunity to use my Wplus9 stamps and dies.
I missed the first blog hops, but I wasn't going to let the December Blog Hop pass, without participating.
The two inspiration photos provided are simply lovely.
I was inspired by the colors, canvas, and hearts.

I am also adding this to the CAS-ual Fridays-CFC81-Knotty or Nice

I Love You - Tag Card

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by today.

Clean and Simple (CAS) is not my usual style of creating.
Usually, I like to almost completely cover my creations with
some kind of stamping, inking, patterned paper, layers, and/or embellishments.
However, there are several CAS challenges that have challenged me to step out of my comfort zone.
I made this "Tag Card" for these challenges.

Supplies
Stamps:  (Hero Arts)-CL582-Year Round Sentiments, CL586-XO
Paper:  (BasicGrey)-Little Black Dress, (SU)-Crumb Cake, (PTI)-Rustic Cream
Dies:  (Sizzix)-Tim Holtz-Tag & Bookplates, (PTI)-Chevron Stripes Border Die, (Spellbinders)-S3-148-Tags Trio
Ink:  VersaMark, Hero Hues-Punch Chalk Ink, Jet Black-Archival Ink
Other:  Black Cord, Foam Adhesive

Your visit and comments are greatly appreciated!

CASING Brenda

The wonderful Barb challenged us to CASE a card we have placed in our "Favorites File".
I loved the idea, and I chose one of sweet Brenda's beautiful cards.
What first caught my eye about her gorgeous card, was the lovely color combination.
Isn't that "Mustard Seed"-Distress Ink fabulous with the kraft!?
The background embossing & inking, and the sweet butterfly are perfect on her card.
(I loved Brenda's card SO MUCH, that I really didn't change much about it.)
Brenda, thanks for the wonderful inspiration!
