The theme for the PTI-March 2014-Blog Hop is:  High Gloss.

I clear-embossed the sentiment die-cut, & used Glossy Accents on the heart.

For added dimension, the white panel is popped up with foam adhesive.

Bird - TAG-CARD

Watercoloring - TAG-CARD

I stamped the Hero Arts-Post Card stamp twice, to create a top-folding TAG-CARD.

These were the steps I took to create the watercolored panel:

• covered a book page with gesso
• used reinkers & water to do the watercoloring
• splattered watered-down Black Soot-Distress Ink
• splattered watered-down black acrylic paint (for a more intense black)
• splattered watered-down (Golden Acrylics)-Iridescent Gold (Fine)

(It was difficult to photograph the gold splatters.)

Watercoloring With Heat Embossing

and then watercolored the background.

In my part of the USA, the start of Spring, 

always brings on an absolutely beautiful display of flowers.

The pink blooms always take my breath away.

Modern Whimsy Style

As I watched the PTI-Make It Monday #143-Modern Whimsy Style video,

by the talented Danielle Flanders, I thought I might just have to pass on this challenge.

However, as I began to play around with some leftover scraps from this & this card,
I began to enjoy the creative process of attempting this "difficult" challenge.
My next challenge, was to place all the pieces on a Tag-Card, my favorite to create.
I was stretched way beyond my creative-comfort-zone...AND...and it felt good!
I had SO much fun creating this Tag-Card!
