Thinking Of You

Hello & Welcome!

Jacqueline creates the most beautiful cards and tags, and she inspires many of us.
She is having a Grid-Tag Challenge in the Hero Arts Flickr group.
This is a card I made for her challenge, & for the April Hero Arts contest.
(It was so good to use up some paper scraps.)
The vellum strip also serves as a pocket to house the three removable tags.
(I will be sending this to my Dear Mom, to let her know I'm thinking of her.)
Check out the challenge for lots of wonderful inspiration.

Supplies
Stamps:  All stamps by Hero Arts:  Classic Tea Flower, La Letter, Lattice, Square Pattern, Say It All
Paper:  PTI-Cardstock; K & Company-Patterned Paper; Vellum
Ink:  VersaMark, Distress Inks
Die:  Spellbinders-Tags
Other:  Copic Markers, Seam Binding, Pearls, Border Punch, Foam Adhesive

Have a wonderful day!

Where Flowers Bloom...

I love this quote by Lady Bird Johnson.
"Where flowers bloom, so does hope."

The first card I made for CASology-Week 37: Hope.
(I tried to leave it as CAS as possible.)
In the second photo, I added the seam binding.
(It's more my style.)
I'm entering the second one in the Catered Crop-Recipe Swap-Flower Power.
And also adding it to Simon Says...Anything Goes!

Supplies
Stamps:  (Hero Arts)-Blooming Meadow; (Deadbeat Designs)-Sentiment
Ink:  VersaMark
Dies:  Spellbinders
Other:  White Embossing Powder, Seam Binding

Happy Easter!

Paper Bag Pocket & Tag-Cards

Hello & Welcome!
Have I got something fun & different to share with you today!

On the Catered Crop blog, Linda McClain puts together
some fabulous & very inspiring Pinterest Boards for her challenges (Recipe Swaps).
Since I love creating with "kraft", this Paper Bag Ribbon pin caught my eye,
and lead me to the discovery of Roben-Marie's blog.
This wonderful video tutorial by Roben-Marie was my inspiration for the paper bag pocket I've created.
Roben-Marie is one talented artist, and has lots of fabulous video tutorials.

If you know anything about me, you know I really enjoy making "Tag-Cards" and mini bags.
I had lots of fun creating the paper bag pocket and tag-cards.
(The messy stitching was my favorite part of the creation process.)
This is my first time to sew on a paper bag, and I know it won't be my last.
It's also my first time to create this type of flower (using a flame).

I created this for the Catered Crop - Recipe Swap - Flower Power,
and the Simon Says...Anything Goes challenge.

Supplies
Stamps:  (Hero Arts)-Sew Perfect & Tiny Ink Spots
Dies:  (Sizzix-Tim Holtz)-Tag & Tie; Spellbinders-Nestabilities
Ink:  VersaMark, Color Box-White, Distress Inks, Jet Black Archival
Other:  Clear Embossing Powder, Ribbon, Flower Trim, Lace Trim, Paper Bag, Foam Adhesive

Have a wonderful weekend!
Happy crafting!

Tags and Pockets

Hello!  I hope you are staying warm wherever you are in your part of the world.
We have a very "slim" chance of having some snow.
That doesn't happen very often in my part of the USA.
When it has fallen, it's not usually much, & it doesn't last long; however, it's usually a BIG DEAL.

As you may know, I really enjoy making tags and tag-cards.
Making matching pockets to tuck the tags in, makes the tags extra-special to give out.
In the past, I've enjoyed making tags and pockets to give to others.
(See my Flickr Photostream for a few I've made here, here, here, here, here, here.)
This summer, we made tags and pockets at a class I taught at a scrapbook store.
(See this post.)
The other day, I shared a Tag-Card I made for my husband.
Today I'm sharing the Tag-Card & Pocket,
and two more tags & pockets I gave at Christmas with cash.

Thank you for stopping by today!
Happy crafting!
